Why should I be using zsh instead of bash as my shell?

I've heard of people using shells other than bash for a while now and I don't really know what the advantages are. Can someone explain what makes them better (usage scenarios and whatnot). I've been using linux for a while now and never tried them (kind of been afraid too).
