Short question - Is AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition still any good?

And by good, I mean "will it work reasonably for movie editing and games, not necessarily on ultra settings"?

Or should I get AMD Phenom II X6 1055T? Perhaps something else in similar price range?
