Just wanted to hear your thoughts on this...
The past few weeks in class we've been discussing the famous Nozick v. Rawls debate. The entire time I've been defending Nozick, of course. I originally wanted to write my paper critiquing Rawls, but I guess my professor thinks I've done an adequate enough job destroying him in class.
He sent me this today: http://tinyurl.com/4ydxd6a
He wants me to do my paper on this instead. I'm guessing this is what he actually believes. He's a hyper-liberal consequentialist. He actually said he wouldn't care and found it morally righteous if I stole his briefcase from him, put an extremely large ransom on it, gave it back, and donated the ransom to a charity.
So any help here guys? What do you think about this article? I haven't even had a chance to read the whole thing, but will by the time I get back online. I look forward to your responses.
