Looking to buy a good camera, need advice!

Hello! I've been interested in photography since I got a little, flip-open camera when I was a 14 year old little girl.. Took crappy pictures, loved them. When I turned 16 my parents gave me a fujifilm 1000fd. I was in love for it untill recently. The pictures aren't up to my expectations anymore and I feel like moving on to a more expensive and quality camera. I recently turned 18, got birthday money and my dog had puppies, sold them, profit!

I have 900 euros (Yes, euros) to spend. Sure, it doesn't need to be all used up and I think I need to think about getting an appropriate lens as well. I'm looking for Single Lens reflex. ( I think ) I want a camera that can make very clear shots. It needs to be good at taking pictures of moving objects, e.g. running animals and people, birds ect. You get the picture. (HAH PUN!) I've found that my current Fujifilm is hopelessly slow. It takes forever for it to actually take the picture, so it's hard to get good pictures (everything almost needs 2 or 3 tries.) It's like it gets slower, but I think it's more because I'm getting increasingly impatient. I don't want to run off to the store and getting the first camera the guy recommends to me, because I'm afraid I'll be going home with a piece of crap.

Help?
