I'm an idiot or, McClelland != MaCallan

Was in a hurry and grabbed a few bottles of wine and then went to the scotch. Saw this bottle, just saw "Islay" and the name and my brain registered MaCallan. So I got it. Label looked weird, but I did not pay attention,

Oops.

Actually it is ok, just not what was expected...

Since not all scotches are good, might as well add a review to it.

Colour: pale amber.

Nose: smoke ( a tad drab), maybe some citrus but very weak.

Taste: smoke and iodine. nothing else. very bland.

Finish: It isn't finished. It is not started. Not at all what one would expect from Scotch. Though not bad (spit it out type), it is boring. The taste does not linger. For that price I would suggest one gets a regular blend. I would think this is some sort of a distillery's rejects that are re-branded. This was a 30$ mistake.
