My friend put my jacket in the fireplace, is it ok to ask him to replace it?

I was with some friends yesterday and we got a bit drunk and stoned. He asked me if he could put my jacket in the fireplace (with the fire going) because he wanted to see what would happen. I told him no but he did it anyway. Is it unbrolike behavior to ask for him to buy me a new one?
