Rooting the Galaxy Nexus

I'm trying to root my galaxy nexus with Wug Root Toolkit, but right after I set up the System Variables, and install the drivers, it prompts me to plug in my phone. But as soon as I plug it in, my computer automatically installs some drivers for the phone. How do I stop this? Will this mess up my phone?
