Beam of sunset sunlight coming through my window- where will it move as the year progresses?

So we all know the sun sets in the "West". But it sets closer to NW and closer to SW depending on the time of year. So, two questions:

  1. Given that today 3/24 the sun sets at point A. Will it set north of A or south of A as the next equinox approaches?

  2. The above effect will be greater or smaller depending on latitude, right? How can we describe the degree of the effect if given latitude X?

I and my light-loving coral reef tank thank you in advance. 8 )

EDIT: I apologize if this is in the wrong /r. It seemed to me like an astronomical question, yet the only answer I've received thus far is "Figure it out yourself. " Is there a more appropriate subreddit for it?
