Need Help Finding a Mod/ Solution to Problem I am Having

I am making an adventure map. I want to be able to control villagers(NPCs) a little better using a mod. I want to make them say predetermined messages and stay in predetermined places. Does anyone know an up to date mod or other solution to this problem.
