On dialup, frustrated trying to keep up with updates.

I get a download speed of around 2-4kB/s on dialup, which means any time I want to play tf2 I have to let my internet connection be tied up for 3+ hours. I can go in to town (40min drive) to use the internet at work or a cafe, but TF2 is on my Desktop, not a laptop. If only there was some way to download the update there and transfer it without doing a full backup/restore of tf2.

Maybe this is a sign that my time as an online gamer is over. Been a good run since direct-dialing my friends on War2, to Counter Strike and TFC and now TF2.
