An Anarchist Canon

...sounds like a contradiction in terms, I know.

But, although we have the really excellent Anarchist Library linked in the sidebar, the content isn't presented in the most newbie-friendly way. I'm wondering if there are texts, books, etc., that anyone point to as forming a baseline for Anarchist thought -- works that identify, in the broadest way possible, the principles all our various ideological perspectives have in common. And, if there are such texts, maybe we ought to organize a specialized library for this Reddit containing these works, and providing commentaries where possible.

In fact, I'd be happy to put it together, if there's interest and folks can give me suggestions.
