I was comparing these parts with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227383 (pre-built @ $800 after $100 savings, not a rebate)

Questions before I choose/buy: Build was for the most part suggested to me, assuming I'm building from scratch (outside of monitor/mouse/kb/OS), is there anything else I'll need to be buying? (I notice the part picker website has a slot for CPU Cooler. Do I need one, or is that just additional cooling for overclocking purposes?)

Assuming the pre-built isn't dead on/soon after arrival (From comments on newegg, entirely hit or miss, but they'll replace until it doesn't), Whats the major gain of me buying equivalent parts and putting it together myself (as that turns out to be slightly more expensive, even factoring in mail-in rebates)? Or is there something major i'm missing about the pre-built outside of the shoddy psu/mobo?
