Skiing in NZ

I'm planning to go skiing with two of my brothers in June-July. Still undecided where in New Zealand, so pretty much open to suggestion.

Did some research on lodging, was pretty disappointed in the rates(2000NZD for 7 nights, not sure if per person). Hoping for some resource from local kiwis so I can find cheaper lodgings.

I went to Austria in January and got a package for 550euro for 7 nights(per person), including ski pass, so something close to this would be great.
