Overhoned a straight to try to work out a small chip I took out. Any way to get it back to shave ready without sending it away?

It was JUST perfectly honed by Larry, and it was giving me beautiful shaves for about three weeks. Then today when I was rinsing it, I smacked it on the faucet and chipped it about half a millimeter. I have a barber hone so I just lapped it until the chip was gone, and I thought after I was done it would be crazy sharp. Turns out it's not sharp at all.

I stropped it on cloth and then leather a bit, and then on crox and feox and back to the leather. It'll cut the hairs on my arm okay now, but not nearly as well as before.

Any suggestions of a formula of stropping to get it back? Have I just not done enough? I did 50-100 laps on each of the aforementioned media.
