Someone that actually knows what they're talking about please explain.

I'm coming from pure usb-audio/midi stuff and slowly starting to expand.

My first analog device is a (newly acquired) Casio SK-1 and while looking for mixers I realize I have no idea what standard to follow for patching cables/audio.
