Applying liquid foundation with a stippling brush [Video]

My apologies if this is common knowledge, but I thought I'd share this because sometimes I read complaints about liquid foundation sinking into fine lines, creating a bit of an aged look, etc.

This video is not mine, but it's the simplest and most direct one I've seen on the subject. Personally, it's favorite method to apply foundation with. In the end you only need a few drops to do the whole face. It's truly one of the best ways to avoid that awful heavy look we sometimes see.

The downside: it takes a bit longer. Done right it still takes me a good 5-8 minutes, which feels like forever when you're applying foundation. (I have a big head!) The key is to focus on one small section at a time, like she does. If I'm in a hurry I'll apply it using fast whisking motions instead of stippling, but same idea - only a little bit at a time, one section at a time, portion controlled using my wrist as a palette. Even my 'fast' method is very repetitive. With whisking. And whisking, and even more whisking....

Here's the video

She avoids using a brush for the setting powder and gently uses a puff instead...I use a kabuki brush afterwards and I find it doesn't disturb the foundation at all. By the time I even get to that point it has already dried.

I just rarely see foundation application discussed in this subreddit, and honestly it seems to be one of the biggest mistakes I see people make in general. (This, not blending in the neck area, and using the wrong foundation color.)

Thoughts and tips, ladies?
