Yet another question for those with knowledge

I got lucky today and happened upon an evga 680 at frys electronics today, wasent even expecting it to be there.

Also picked up a 2700k.

they dident have the mainboard or memory i wanted so i went to newegg.

I noticed that asus has pz68 gen 3 boards with pcie 3.0 slots for GPUs that are 3.0. Unfortunately they are not ROG so now i have a question i cant seem to find the answer to. Are these boards better than the maximus IV? I realise the 680s are 2.0 compatible but am wondering if theres a reason to go with the pz68 over the ROG board.

second question. newegg is recommend the corsair dominator gt kit 16gig. its a quad channel mem kit yet that says compatible with 2011 and z68. the z68 boards list only supporting dual channel memory. Am i better of just buying dual channel memory or is there something to gain from getting the dominator gts even though they are quad channel.

thank you guys for any input.
