My childhood: Filled with horrible experiences.

Ever since I was about the age of 4, I had experienced sleep paralysis many times. Each time, I peed myself, almost shit myself, and went crying: running to my parent's room each time and asking them to protect me. It was horrible. I was attacked almost EVERY time by a creature I dubbed DarkMan. Now reading the Lucid Dreaming subreddit and this one I realize that it may have been one of the Shadow People. I used to have a 3 maybe 4 foot Batman stuffed animal I guess. I remember in one of the dreams that resulted from it my room was completely dark, but for some reason I could see everything to the left of my room. My closet, little blue chair, Batman thing, and my shelf. I remember seeing some Mucha Lucha characters near my sister's room mocking me. Around 6 or 7 years old maybe? Anyway, I have had sleep paralysis recently, but not as recent as my lucid dream involving zombies.

Now, 13 years old, I am still afraid of the dark because of all those incredibly traumatic experiences. I always keep my feet under the covers, even when I am sweating. I need someone to stay in my room in case of sleep paralysis, and I now have a bright light on. When it's too late, I sleep with my TV for safety I guess. What i'm now wondering is: Is there a way for me to kill the darkman in case of his return? And how can I stop myself from having those experiences? TL;DR: 13 year old having problems with sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming since the age of 4 needs advice.
