Unable to contact DHCP server.

I've recently restored my Dell Dimension 3000 to factory settings and using the Dell Wireless 1450 USB adapter to connect to the Internet. The problem is, the the adapter hangs at "acquiring network address." I've looked through some tech support forums and did ipconfig /release and igconfig /renew, and it gives me the issue: Unable to contact your DHCP server.
