The coffee that I make with my Moka Pot always tastes like shit. How can I learn to use a Moka decently, /r/Coffee?

First, I don't know why it ends up being so bad, everytime.

Could it be the coffee that I use that is not suited for a Moka? What is the best kind of beans/coffee to use?

Is it a particular way of boiling water/temperature requirements that I missed? (I usually put the moka on my stovetop, maximum temp, and wait until it stops dripping to serve).

Is there a certain best way to put the coffee in the pot?

And finally, what are some general moka tips that are useful to know?

Thanks r/coffee, please help make my mornings better!
