Real Steel - Anybody else is bothered by the random switching between Mirroring and Mimicking of Atom?
I just rewatched Real Steel.
All in all a really pleasant Movie experience, lots of fun and awesome choreography. The seamless integration of the CG Robots makes it awesome to watch.
The only point I get annoyed with is the apparently random switching of Atom between Mirroring and Mimicking. This is best seen in the scene where Max works through the night to update/reprogram Atom. When he starts dancing, Atom switches between acting like a mirror and exactly copying Max's movements.
So, dear Reddit, anybody else is bothered by such negligence on part of the director (or whoever is responsible for that)?
