[Build Help] Need some advice on when to build for the first time

Hello r/buildapc, I would just like to say this subreddit is probably one of the most helpful niche subreddits I've ever seen. I am convinced to build my own pc after reading this subreddit and the resources thoroughly.

I'm currently using an Acer AM3802.

My question is, since I won't be able to do purchase anything until May 1st, do you guys think I should wait until later in May because of the 680's effect on the price? Also are there any changes in the hardware forecast for in-between now and May 1st or the end of May?

I'm trying to build a gaming computer that will trump my current one by a lot, and I will be working in a $700-800 price range.
