I just spent three weeks in The Netherlands, AMA.

I just yesterday got back from travelling Europe for three months. I started in Amsterdam and spent a week there, then at the end of the trip I had two weeks to kill before my flight home so I spent it in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. I love Holland, I love the atmosphere, I love the people and how nice everyone is, even if they are tourists everyone seems to be nicer in Holland. I love the cities, the canals, and the hectic bike lanes. Even the weather was nice I thought, compared to where I live anyway. Definitely my favourite country in Europe.

I went to many coffee shops, met many amazing people and well and truly fell in love with Holland. Because I am Australian I can apply for a 1, 2 or 3 year Work and Holiday Visa for The Netherlands, and I have decided that I am going to do it. The ball is already rolling, bring on the 10 month bureaucratic process.

Here is a tip: If you plan on smoking a gram or more a day do not go to Amsterdam for very long, it is expensive there and touristy as hell. Go to Rotterdam, or better yet De Haag. I went to three coffeeshops in Rotterdam and they were of far higher quality than the ones in Amsterdam, the atmosphere was better, the weed was far far cheaper and of better quality, and the coffeeshop itself was just nicer.

So anyway, does anyone have any questions? Are you planning on going yourself and want to know the best coffeshops or best strains?

Ask away.

PS: I spent a week in Copenhagen as well and spent a lot of time on Christianhaven island exploring Freetown Christiania and I of coarse smoked with some Danish locals on a few occasions. As someone heavily in the legalisation movement and as someone with interest in the Anarchism philosphy It was amazing for me to see both in action and working perfectly. I could talk about Christiania for hours, so if you have questions about that as well I can answer them.
