How do I word in my statement of purpose that I'm applying for it for the funding? I'm already working for the place as an hourly employee and would like the GA pay.

Basically the title. I'm applying for a GA position in a place I already work for (I'm paid hourly and not as a GA). How do I word in my statement of purpose that I'm applying for the GA position for the money for a job I'm already doing? I don't want to make it sound like I'm being greedy where I should be lucky to even have a job.

I'm in my second semester of my MA program.
