The accelerometer on my HTC amaze stopped working.

I've had my phone since November 2011. The accelerometer was working perfectly fine in the morning, and when I used it again in the afternoon, it stopped working completely. I can't rotate my screen anymore.

I installed the AndroSensor app to check the accelerometer and it appears to be non-responsive.

I did a factory reset to hopefully fix the problem, but it still isn't working.

What can I do to fix this?
