A method to stop reddit squatting?

I have recently come across a subreddit which is two years old and has never had a single post. It is supposed to be a Christian reddit, but the moderator is an Atheist and opposed to Christianity. I thought that perhaps he had chosen the name and then simply uninterested. However, after messaging him, I learned that he intended to keep the name to stop Christians from using it.

I don't think that this sort of thing is good for Reddit. Already, we have a way to transfer ownership of abandoned reddits, but the rules say that the moderator must be inactive for 2 months anywhere on Reddit. So, even if no posts are ever made and there is never any activity in the reddit, it is not considered abandoned no matter how long this goes on.

If there is something in the fine print someplace which would disallow this for current communities, I would like to propose that such wording is changed so that new communities can't be squatted in the future. I think there should be a process available to claim such reddits similar to /r/redditrequest.
