I found a cat outside my house who is extremely underweight.

He's fully grown, and only weighs 6.9lbs, is there anything I can do to put some weight on him? He's skin and bones. He's very friendly, and it breaks my heart to see him so thin.

We've taken him to the vet, and he's healthy aside from being so skinny. What kind of food should I give him?
