New to RES; is there a way to "un-limit" a search in the search bar?

Pre-RES, whenever I would search something, the box "search r/subreddit" would always be unchecked. This allowed me to search all of reddit, like I want to 90% of the time.

Post-RES, say box is always checked. I can't figure out how to make it unchecked all the time. I rarely want to search a specific subreddit, so I want to fix RES so that RES functions like pre-RES.

Any help would be appreciated!
