[PvP] Water in wheat farm destroys wheat

So I harvested my automatic wheat farm today (which I've used many times before), but the water destroyed the wheat. Has this been disabled to prevent lag, or is it something different like Bukkit?

EDIT: Just tried again, this time, wheat and seeds where dropped. Strange.
