Help me get the shaft...

So, I'm in the market for new shafts. Currently, I play the Titleist 704cb with DGS300s. I was unhappy with my launch angle and trajectory, so I went to demo a few shafts. My local Golfsmith had the AP1 6iron as a demo club, so I used that (as it's probably the closest to what I currently play). I tried the DGS300, Project X 5.5 and KBS Tour.

Oh boy was there a difference. With the S300, I was getting swing speeds in the low 60s (62 average) and launch angles from 11-13. With the 5.5s, I got swing speeds in the upper 60s (68 average) and launch angles between 16-18. The KBS just felt wrong, so I'll exclude them here.

Now, my question is, they didn't have the Project X 5.0 to demo so should I hold off until I get a chance to hit this shaft? That's the shaft the salesguy recommended, but the 5.5s felt really good. Should I hardstep the 5.5s, or softstep the 5.0s? Should I wait until I get over the case of food poisoning I got this past Wednesday and get better numbers?

Or lastly, should I just look for a new set of AP1or2s with Project Xs preinstalled considering I need new grips too (figure $35 a shaft x 8 + $15 x 8 for iomic grips = $400)?
