Hey Reddit, let's hear your worst day at work stories.

I'm currently in the middle of one. Today there has been an unfortunate string of just bad luck events one right after the other. I work for a party rental service. We go out on deliveries around the city and drop off inflatable bounce houses, generators, tables, chairs, etc. our first delivery went well, but our second delivery was a big one at an elementary school. They ordered 5 inflatables, a mechanical bull and a dunk tank. Our box truck was stacked with things, but turns out we were missing two that went to this job. First mistake. Boss went into panic mode, left me and another guy to set up what we have, while he went back to the shop ( 45 minutes away) to get what we were missing. Ok, not so bad, we were running behind schedule when he got back and we finished, but we weren't going to be that late. Our exit however is blocked, so he decides he'll drive through the sand of the playground. Mistake 2. The sand was about 2 feet deep for some reason. Our truck gets stuck. We ask the firefighters there for help. We only get more stuck. Now we're definitely going to be really late. We have to wait for a tow truck. Then on the way there, one of our tires blows up on the free way. It just became comical at that point. We're so off schedule, and i have a feeling this bad luck isnt over. So what's your horrible work day story?
