Mounting offset wheels

So I was cleaning my bearing yesterday and I went to put my wheels back on and I wondered what the difference would be between mounting the offset core to the inside vs the outside. I noticed today the wheelbase changes, I was making sharper turns with the core to the outside today, but what else is different?
