Bros! Is this too weird of a birthday gift for my man?

We've only been dating for a few weeks. His birthday was earlier this week but I haven't seen him.

We haven't had sex yet, although everything else. I got him a real gift, but I also thought it might be fun to give him a bottle of lube and a couple of condoms in a box. Is that too weird? I thought it would be a fun way to say, "let's fuck" but now I'm second guessing myself. Thoughts?

Edit: I also got him a real gift too, if that matters.

Edit 2: The Plan So I'll give him his normal one, and then later during sexy times I'll bring up us having sex, and if he says yes I'll give him his second gift. I'll let you know how it goes!

Edit 3: The Aftermath So it went well. It was kind of dorky, I gave him his normal gift, we went to the orchestra, went out had a bite and a couple drinks and made it back to his place. I mentioned that I had one more gift for him. I explained that it wasn't much of a gift but more of a suggestion if he was confortable. He opened the box and gave me a sly grin. This was our 5th date, if you're curious. We fooled around for a while, and I could tell that he was really trying to decide whether or not to have sex, so I reassured him that we could wait. Fooled around a bit longer and ended up having sex. Was amazing, he shot his load onto my shoulder from sitting on my pelvis.

IDK...I thought it would be a cute dorky suggestion but I think it would have been better to have manned up and asked him. All worked out though, but learned a little bit along the way!
