Have you ever been shot?

As someone who has never been shot, or been around guns really, I always wonder about getting shot.

I guess it's not like the movies, you don't go flying back, or instantly collapse.

Can you feel the bullet, or as it's a hot piece of metal, does it cauterize the wound as it enters?
