Highlander general team strategy?

I've read many posts about what each individual class should be doing in a Highlander match, and putting them together gives a decent picture of what a team should be doing at any given time. But what I'm curious about is what a team can do as a whole to give them an edge.

Calling out when to push, when to fall back, where the sniper is, or when the medics are down (for either team) are all a pretty good start. Almost all the HL lobbies I've played in have done this. But even with this kind of communication, sometimes it feels like the team lacks direction, or a plan, and this is what I'm asking for help with. Are there any sort of plans or basic tactical maneuvers that the medic (or whoever is leading the team) can call out to give a bit more direction to the chaos, and thus give their team the edge?
