State of the professional teams!
After watching TSM vlogs and CLGs vlogs, listening to what they say on stream and also looking at their scrims, I am kind of shocked. Does actually any of the teams train properly? Does any of the team have clear strategies? What efforts do they really make to call themself “professional”?
Before Hannover TSM did not even talk about their games when it was over, they never watch over a replay together and find the mistakes and make the effort to fix them as a team. CLG basically just runs on individual skill, without any strategy, all the discussions turns into an argument and often end when people just cba to discuss anymore, without any conclusion.
So this is my current hypothesis on how teams prepare and play tournaments/events:
“They all basically trust the outcome of the game on their individual skill without any deep sense of organized team play, perfected and trained strats or collective talk after their games”
I mean if you devote your LIFE to playing league of legends, why don't you make the effort to become the best? You can't just sit all day and play solo queue, you obviously need to train secret strategies, use a lot of time theorycrafting, finding and perfecting some plays and develop a strong teamplay? In any other sport they would be stomped so hard, and I am sure that teams like TSM and CLG who have ran and won on pure individual skill will get stomped harder and harder in the future when coordinated russians and AT LEAST when the koreans start to enter tournaments with their 12 hours a day training regime with perfected strategies to counter anything thrown at them.
Esport wants to be taken seriously as a sport, and currently League of Legends is one of the biggest ones, and this is how the professionals does it? Are they just lazy? Is it just me or should they try harder to actually become better?
