Skydivers of Reddit, Would I stand a chance?

You see in movies all the time where someone grabs a parachute and jumps out of a plane with no experience. If I did this knowing nothing more than how to open the parachute, would I survive? Just say that the first one deploys and I don't have to use the back up.
