Need help with healing classes

My friend has been playing a Resto druid forever now, but is wanting to switch to a shammy. He is torn between the two classes so I need to ask, what class would you play? which is more fun? Any advice would be helpful. Oh, and we PvE mainly, but like to PvP on the side
