anyone familiar with tekkit for minecraft?

My husband has a beastnode server set up and we want to use tekkit for our server. Problem is there doesn't seem to be any way to update tekkit to 1.2.4 It says minecraft 1.1 when you launch it and we really want to play in 1.2.4. Are we missing something or is there really no way to update? (we're currently playing our server in 1.1 so that it will work)
