I need to interview some indie devs for a school assignment, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello /r/gamedev,

I recently got an assignment in college that has me find a profession I am interested in and interview the people from it. I have had a strong interest in becoming an independent developer for a long time now so here I am seeking some indie devs willing to answer a few interview questions. None of the things asked will be published, it is only for a school paper.

Below I have a list of interview questions you can respond to either through pm or comment (whatever you feel most comfortable with). The more questions answered the more it helps me out but please feel free to answer as many or as few as you want.

  • What game/s have you worked on?

  • What are the biggest inspirations for your games?

  • What made you decide you wanted to become an indie dev?

  • What are some of the biggest difficulties you have faced?

  • What steps does it take to become an indie dev?

  • What are your favorite things about your job?

  • What are your least favorite things about your job?

  • Do you have anyone who has inspired you the most?

  • How does your personal life and job fit together?

  • What words of advice would you use for someone interested in this career?

  • What are some of the most memorable moments/experiences you have had at your job?

  • What kind of qualifications are required for this job?

  • Where did you get the experience to do your job?

  • What kind of risks/liabilities do you face?

  • How long have you been doing this for?

  • What kind of changes have you seen in independence development over the years?

  • What responsibilities do you have?

EDIT: Added one more question to the top (Thanks MuletTheGreat)
