So I had a different ending from what I have read. [NSFW] [Spoilers]

I had read spoilers previously and even stopped playing for a while as I was a little disappointed in what I read. I was almost afraid to finish the game as I knew I'd be let down.

Well I wasn't.

I am not sure if it's a result of how I played the game (Full Renegade, Fuck everyone, I am saving the galaxy whether it wants to be saved or not and you are either with me or against me.). Tali jumped off a cliff, I had no love interest, and no one else got to hook up either, no time for that shit, galaxy to save. Pull your weight or I will end you.

So, at the end I actually felt the ending fitted. I only got 2 choices. Blue (Control) side with the electric things to grab, or Red (Destroy) side with the bit to shoot. No brainer. I'd already killed TIM, I was here to destroy the Reapers, no matter the cost. Any cost was worth ending the cycle, even if it meant all the mass relays were destroyed, my crew/friends were dead and everyone was stranded. It wasn't about me, it wasn't about my crew, it was about ending the cycle and that is exactly what I did. Case closed.

I felt I got to "say good by" to everyone before the final mission which I pretty much knew was going to be a suicide run. I called a few people on the radio/holo terminal, talked to everyone else as I made my way to the final briefing and had closure. No one expected to come out of it alive and so the final mission was pretty much what it was advertised to be, a one way trip to stop the Reapers.

So yeah, for me, fucking awesome ending, exactly what I was expecting and I have to wonder if some people were playing the same game as me or just had false expectations? This was never going to end well. It was always going to be a tragedy in the end, this isn't one of those games where I was expecting to overcome surreal odds and live happily ever after. I'd have been more "WTF???" if we'd pressed a magic button and the Reapers had just disappeared and we'd all had a Return of the Jedi medal jerkoff session at the end.

Too much to go into really but all the bits and pieces I was expecting after reading some of the stuff on here just didn't make me feel like I had read other people had felt.. So 10/10, AAA+++. would play again. Loved every fucking minute of it.

Not trying to put aside anyone elses feelings on the endings and perhaps I made a lot of different choices along the way (Played ME1, ME2, ME3 back to back, felt like it was one big bad ass epic awesome galaxy saving roller coaster.)
