My boyfriend broke my only rule about strippers
My boyfriend is currently in Vegas at a bachelor party. Last night, they went to a strip club. Before they went, I texted "Have fun. No touching. Touching is my job." He laughed, said the bachelor said I was a great girlfriend, and that was that. I honestly didn't and don't care if he watches hot girls take off their clothes. That doesn't bother me. But he is really big on touching me, both sexually and romantically, and I don't like the idea of another girl touching him sexually or him touching another girl sexually. I'm not jealous but I think that's a fair line to draw.
Today, he sent me a series of texts that said "These girls were all super hot and super nice" "And lap dances in Vegas break the no touching rule :(" "[the bachelor] and I each blasted through $100" "Achievement unlocked: I grabbed a black girls ass for the first time" When I said I was upset that he had broken my one rule he replied "Whatever. Its not like i fucked them"
I'm hurt. I'm hurt that he broke the one rule I set. I'm hurt that he bragged about breaking the one rule I set. I'm hurt that he spent $100 breaking the one rule I set. I'm hurt that he trivialized the one rule I set.
I didn't start a fight with him at the time via text because I was at a family function and he's still in Vegas. I need to figure out how I want to deal with this before he gets home. I don't want to just let it go. This is the first time something like this has happened and I really expected him to follow the rule. I am really surprised that he didn't.
So how do I approach the situation? He's going to get super defensive no matter what I say, but we have discussed following rules in relation to a recent Dan Savage post about threesomes and arbitrary rules. I don't know. I'm just hurt and I never expected to be in this situation...
EDIT: He's 28, I'm 25. Been together 1.5 years. First time anything like this has happened.
EDIT 2: My sister got sick of me being mopey and texted my boyfriend. Huge fight ensued between me and boyfriend.
I should clarify that this was never a deal breaker for me. He did something stupid but I hadn't told him no touching before he left and we hadn't ever discussed it. He didn't understand how serious I was about it. He texted me "I guess it doesn't count for shit that I think the world of you and I briefly touched some stripper that I'll never remember" (we were texting because I was still with my family and not in a place to actually talk). He was drunk when it happened, which isn't much of an excuse, but there was a huge guys out pressure happening. He sincerely apologized and I don't see any good from furthering the discussion.
I appreciate everyone's input. I agree that it was a breakdown of communication on my part more than anything. When/if we get married I will be much more clear about things like that for his bachelor party.
