[TOMT] I'm trying to recall a [Word]

This word was defined to me by a good friend several months ago, I have since forgotten the word but recall the definition!

When anything is drawn to your attention, a concept, a colour, a song, a peice of clothing or even a haircut, You begin to notice it more frequently, now your brain actively is aware of it or understands it.

I have a list of witty text messages and emails I could send if only I knew this word lol!
