Please help, I just need someone to tell me if there's a solution to the glitch i'm having

so recently (yesterday) I started to have this glitch in both sp and mp where the SCV's will glitch out and start firing light beam type things everywhere (not actually, its part of the glitch) they seem to be coming from where the "exhaust pipe" would be. eventually these light beams dominate my screen because they come out of EVERY scv. This glitch only pertains to gatherers though, any other units act normally. I havent tested this to see if the same thing happens on zerg and protoss. So my real question is: how do i get rid of this issue? and also has anyone else had the same problem before?

*edit I can still play the game normally with this glitch, its just very annoying and distracting
