What kind of material would be best for a long board?

Me and my dad have started bonding for the first time, on something that i have interest in and so does he. Were going to try and build a long board for the first time. well first time for us. anyway, my question to you redditors of the world. what material combination should we use? that can support up to 200+ lbs (im on the heavy side) we dont have like a shit storm of money to spend either. not to sound douchy, but we dont. whats a good combination thats affordable? i was thinking Baltic Birch with a fiber glass cross breed type thing;however im not so sure thatll support my immense weight.thats it thanks redditors of the universe. live long and get monies.
