LoK realization: Poor Katara and Aang :(

In the opening credits, we see Aang all manly and bearded and awesome and I squealed like a toddler when I realized it was him, but it made me realize something else: Aang died young :(

I mean, he was 100+ years old so not young in that sense, but he looks about... 40 or so in those quick glimpses? The Avatar appears in the Avatar state at the age they were when they died (Roku lived longer than Kyoshi and appears much older). I really expected to see Aang as this awesome grey-haired grandpa figure (kinda similar to when he disguised himself as an old man to get into Ba Sing Sae), but he looked to really be more fatherly than grandfatherly. I feel like Katara's lived as a widow for a long, long time :(
