Long Torso, Shirt Issues

Does anyone else have the problem with finding a shirt that fits so good when you try it on, and then wash it (I always err on the side of caution and wash it cold, and dry low) only to pull it out of the dryer and realize that as soon as you pull your arms up that the shirt goes past your belly button?

I have such a hard time finding shirts that fit to the way I like them. Anyone else have this issue, and have any good suggestions or tried and true sources for good tall clothes?

Also just a vent: I'm tall but not big. Why does it have to be big AND tall? I want a nice length shirt or 34-36" inseam pants. Not XXXXXL shirts and size 47 jeans.
