Chances of 3 Australian high school graduates attending college in NYC in fall 2013 renting an apartment in Brooklyn without a job (yet)?

Me and two of my friends will be moving to NYC from Sydney, Australia in May 2013. We have money saved to pay bond on a 2 BR apt, as well as a couple of months rent, but the catch is we won't have jobs as soon as we move over there but we'll be looking for jobs as soon as we move over.

What are the chances of anyone being willing to rent to us? None of our families will be over there for financial assistance either so that can't even be a consideration for a broker. If we can't find someone willing to rent to us before we have a job, what would our options be?
