What is the dinner prayer?

Recently at my friends house at dinner time I was asked to do re dinner prayer. I'm not exactly the religious type and so I didn't know it. I was frowned upon by her parents and they just skipped it. So to avoid future disappointment what is the dinner prayer for Christian homes?
