Is there a reason not to start sprouts indoors?

I've got the following seeds:

• Red Rubin Basil
• Sweet Basil
• Chamomile
• Cumin
• Spinach
• Cucumber
• White Onion

And they all say to plant outdoors. Is there any reason not to get them started indoors?
